Production Notes

Because of the harsh one dimensional lighting in the studio, I decided to give the opening graphic image a retro look. I also wanted to convey the Salsa Attitude that this couple definitely had. I almost went with a black and white treatment for the opening graphic but decided to go with an almost duo-tone retro look.

Mariana Salinas and Jose Aguilar competed in the NY/NJ Salsa Open Finals on July 13th, 2008. Mariana and Jose placed 3rd in the competition. The MC for the evening was Joe Burgos. Judges for the event included: Luis Zegarra, Eddie Torres, Billy Farjardo, Jami Josephson, and Nelson Flores. Griselle Ponce was the main organizer for the event.
