The Abakua Dancers performed at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center on June 21st, 2008. After Hour Funk is the pure expression of raw vintage fusion from a time where Afro, Latin and Jazz musical mixtures were not enough and electric guitars and soul-based Bogaloo presented itself in Latin music. The infectious Afro-Latin rhythms combined with the urban malice and grit that has made NYC what it is, has been captured and reproduced physically in this signature Afro-Latin Funk dance experience. After Hour Funk is our late night experiment and our midday secret. The mind's trip through an abstract emotional festival and we invite all to join the party.
